Saturday Musings..

Amy brought Alana over last night dressed up in the bishops dress I had smocked for her. It looks so sweet on her, I am glad I didn't wait any longer to get it finished, or it would not have fit!!! Here is a picture of my grandbaby in her dress.

I'm glad it is Saturday. I am planning on working on my birth sampler design and getting my nails done, zapping some weeds in the yard with Roundup, and little else. My office co-workers have recommended a movie called Office Space that they say is a must see, so I think I will run by the video store while I am out...which brings up the question...as "videos" are being phased out, do you suppose we will keep calling it the video store, or start calling it the DVD store??? LOL!!

Happy Saturday all...

Mom-"Office space" is funny- I am constanly hearing people at work quote it. We just call the video store "The Movie House", I don't know why though. Alana says thank you very much for the dress, she feels very pretty in it!

Connie, that dress is just precious. She looks like a little china doll.

I had this same thought about the video store the other day- but dvd store just sounds funny:-)
Your grandaughter is beautiful as is her dress. I love these hand smocked dresses. My Grandmother used to make these for my cousins and I. When we were a little bigger she did the sncking around the chest in stead of around the neck. I think I still have one hanging in the closet at my mom's house.

Connie, Alana looks so beautiful in her bishop dress! She'll be able to wear it for longer than you think since there are no set in sleeves like in a yoke dress, and the hem is very deep. Just let out the hem! If you can't get rid of the line, make a few little pintucks.
How's your little stitching room working out for you?
I've been reading Thea's notes on the VS weekend and wishing I could be there! :)
